Producción Porsche 928 GTS MANUALES

Hola amigos! Me estoy volviendo loco porque no consigo encontrar cuantos 928 GTS MANUALES se fabricaron (desde 1992 hasta 1995)
Se hablan de unas 2200 unidades totales pero no dicen o separan cuantas unidades salieron con el cambio manual de. 5 vel dogleg....

Ya tenéis la pregunta de septiembre!!:D

hello!
total 2835 GTS( USA and Japan included), someone tells 2831, Others 2904....

in USA 167 GTS wer manual , on 406 .
In Italy Porsche Ag sent 77 928GTS , only 9 automatics....
Don't know really the real total number of GTS sold with auto transmission.
Maybe I can find something on some unofficial site...

I've been searching in different webs (UK & USA mostly) and didn't find the exact numbers of MANUAL 5 Speed 928 GTS..

Tengo entendido que solo se vendieron 500 en todo el mundo, del 928 GTS en Manual.

En cuanto al tensor de la distribución, no, no,lo he instalado, me comentaron que los GTS ya llevan un tensor de correa y mi mecánico me lo confirmó despues del ultimo cambio.

¿Que opinas?

Te pregunte lo de la correa para recabar información para cuando me toque cambiar la correa..
Entonces con un GTS no hace falta retensar cada "X" kms después de cambiar la correa??

La verdad es que no soporto la idea de tener q retensar la correa al poco tiempo de cambiarla.. De ahí la idea del porktensioner.. Como lo ves tu?

 

El tensor es para facilitar la instalación, pero hay que retensar las correas igualmente.

Dicho también en Rennlist, que frecuento desde 2001 y antes en Porschephiles...

Pues entonces creo que me voy de cabeza a por el Porktensioner y así me olvido de retensar hasta el siguiente cambio ..

 

Viendo lo que comenta Vollbut, también voy a retensar, de todas formas al menos en los GTS, avisa en el cuadro si se destensa.demasiado.

 

my tensioner was fully rebuilt before my porchase.I will keep it as long as I can.

2 chances:
1 keep everything original and buy Gates timing belt, its stretching is almost nil, so you can avoid the 1000 km retension( you can do yourself with kempf tool, if you like Do-It-Yourself jobs)

2 get porkensioner, Gates belt(I would get it anyway) and forget about retensioning.
Now there is the new porkensioner, the black edition.

Then you bear in mind other stuff that needs your attention about this cars...motor mounts will be pretty flat now, mine were 56mm vs 78mm of the original,if the engine doesnt' move/rock under acceleration mounts need doing.

Intake system: I removed the intake system and changed every hose below the manifold, changed (IMPORTANT) every fuel hose and installed good fuel hose clamps), cleaned injectors and resprayed the manifolds.

Check the chain tensioners under head covers, look for wear of the plastic parts of the tensioners.

when you do these things you will have a quiet engine, mor ecomfort , reliability, no fire damage from bad fuel hoses, great performance(easyto lose bhps on engine like this).
